Care Continuity

2020 · Active

Lead frontend developer at a healthcare technology company building tools that help care teams coordinate patient transitions and reduce readmissions.

Overview

Care Continuity builds software that helps hospitals and health systems manage patient transitions — the handoff moments between care settings that are prone to gaps, dropped follow-ups, and readmissions.

As lead frontend developer I own the architecture and direction of the client-side codebase: component systems, data patterns, performance, and the day-to-day execution of product features across the engineering team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the frontend team and set architectural direction
  • Build and maintain the core React application and component library
  • Work closely with product and design to translate complex clinical workflows into clear, usable interfaces
  • Own performance, accessibility, and code quality standards

The work

Healthcare tooling has particular demands — data density, workflow complexity, and the need for interfaces that clinical staff can operate without friction under pressure. Most of the interesting frontend problems here are about information hierarchy, state management across multi-step workflows, and building systems that hold together at scale.
